Janah Brooks Golden

Janah Brooks Golden started her career on the culinary side of things. After her move from south Florida to Los Angeles, Janah dabbled in all things food and cooking related. She was a private chef for celebrity clientele, culinary instructor and a recipe developer/tester for Vegetarian Times magazine.

Janah made the jump from working behind the knife to behind the camera when she helped recruit for Bravo’s Emmy award winning series, “Top Chef.” The leap into the entertainment industry has been a non-stop adventure for Janah and she continues to expand her experience beyond casting and dive into development and production.

Prior to co-founding, Front Foot First, Janah has cast shows for major networks, including NBC, Bravo, Syfy, Food Network and FYI.

Janah was born and raised in South Florida and holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from University of Florida (GO GATORS!)

Lauren Brooks Golden

After graduating from University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts with a focus on Radio, TV and Film, Lauren’s first gig out the gate was alongside creative genius, Jerry Seinfeld for NBC’s “The Marriage Ref.”

Lauren has nearly a decade of experience in the industry, running point in casting on several major network shows, editing, developing and working in production. 

Lauren has cast shows and films for major networks and production companies, including NBC, ABC, TNT, Bravo, FYI, Food Network, Esquire, Discovery, Showtime and Focus Features.

Lauren was born and raised in Los Angeles. When she’s not casting, producing or developing, you can usually find her snowboarding in Mammoth.

Founded in 2015, Lauren Brooks Golden and Janah Brooks Golden created their own development, consulting and reality casting company called Front Foot First that highlights their collective experiences within the entertainment industry in an effort to continue to produce and create stimulating content on TV and film. They have a combined experience of over 20 years in the industry professionally casting for shows whose focus range from culinary, to dating, to weight loss, to fashion and everything in between. In addition to reality TV, they have worked on several documentaries, commercials, and YouTube series. Front Foot First has had partnerships with Intuitive Content, Citizen Pictures, BEYOND Entertainment, Alfred Street, Fullscreen, Bow and Arrow, Linguine Pictures, Kinetic Content, Triage Entertainment, Cakehouse Media, Food Network, History Channel, Nickelodeon, and Taco Bell to name a few. Outside of the casting world, the duo are constantly developing original content, pitching formats and currently have their own shows in production.  

From concept to execution, Front Foot First provides consultation, development, producing, recruiting, and all aspects of reality, documentary, and commercial casting.  They have extensive experience running network finals and over-seeing RISK management. 

The production leg of their company includes segment producing, story developing, in the field services, and identifying organic authentic content to follow.
